Roast Pork Special – The Moon Under Water

A perfect summer day shall henceforth include The Husband, Golf, and a yummy lunch. All criteria were met last Thursday in St. Petersburg, Florida. We had been talking about The Moon Under Water (simply “The Moon” for you cool kids) in the downtown area for ages. I sometimes wake up at night, after having dreamt about their Brie Appetizer. (Brie baked in a puff pastry, surrounded by a spicy raspberry sauce….to die for.)

Before Spencer, I was fairly certain I was going to marry that appetizer. As the place boasts British fare, The Spouse went with Bangers and Mash.

I opted for the Express Lunch: for $9 you are treated to a delicious soup (Cajun goodness on this day), salad, and 1/2 of the Sandwich of the Day. The pork was tender and perfectly cooked, the lettuce/tomato/bread super fresh, and the cheese complimentary to all of the flavors. My only issue….no sauce at all. The tastes were all good; my personal palate needs some sort of sandwich glue to hold all of the business together.

Hit up The Moon if you are looking for some tasty food, great beers on tap, or just a chill place to watch a Rays game.

For some reason, a Stella is always a little colder and more refreshing at The Moon. 🙂
