One of my favorite haunts in Orlando is Frank & Steins Eatery and Pub in the downtown area. That clever name, an extensive beer list, solid food, and games galore make it the perfect spot to hit up any night of the week. As I had survived one fairly long and arduous work week, I kicked my night off with the Fruity Flight.
For an appetizer we went for the Chili Cheese Tots. I can’t say no to a tot, and it affords me the right to throw out my Napoleon Dynamite impression. Win-Win.
The “Frank” is for the substantial selection of wieners on the menu. The OFD is a four alarm piece of tasty goodness. Spicy polish Vienna dog with chili, nacho cheese, fresh jalapenos, and crispy fried onions. My sweet Husband was maybe sweating a little bit about half way through this bad boy.
The Mediterranean Garden boasts fresh mozzarella, tomato, onion, mixed greens and a balsamic glaze served on a ciabatta bun with avocado hummus spread. That spread is my new favorite sandwich glue. The sandwiches and the dogs both come with chips for the side.
For dessert, I had this little goodie. (It really was a long week.)
We were bummed that they no longer have the NTN Buzztime trivia. We made it work with a few raucous rounds of Trivial Pursuit. If you are ever in the area, make sure you stop by this fantastic place. I am already planning my next trip…..
