Maggie on the Move – Food Truck

Regarding food trucks, my usual statement is, “I need to hit that action more often.” I have had a couple of subpar experiences, so I haven’t really made it a priority lately. That all changed with Maggie on the Move. Her take on Mediterranean cuisine is not only innovative, but, more importantly, fresh and delicious.

The World’s Best PTA brought Maggie and her magical truck to the schoolhouse for Teacher Appreciation Week. What a special treat. Teachers are notorious for eating boring, quick lunches, so the fantastic food was especially treasured in this particular setting.

Chicken Souvlaki Grilled marinated Chicken Breast served in warm pita w/tomato, red onion, tzatziki sauce, feta, kalamata olive & pepperoncini.

Deviled Eggs Mediterranean style with Kalamata Olives and Hummus. These were so tasty!

I am a fairly harsh critic when it comes to Greek Salads. It pretty much comes down to the potato salad and the dressing for me. Maggie’s version is divine!

The star of the day was the Crabby Gyro. This pita from the heavens is filled with an authentic Maryland-style crab cake, slaw, and sriracha aioli.

Anytime I can support a local business, I am down for that. Maggie makes it easy with her friendliness and flavorful flare. (Teachers love alliteration.)

Full disclosure: I taught Maggie’s son in first grade one million years ago. The weird thing is, I haven’t aged a day.

Check out Maggie at the Saturday Morning Market in St. Pete! Tell her hello for me and get your hands on your own Crabby Gyro.
