Losing Charlotte

Jun 01

This book is by first time novelist Heather Clay.  It takes about half of the book to finally shake loose of Charlotte…who was kind of hard to like anyway.  About one fourth of the book was an overly wordy description of the daily grind of raising twin babies.  Like a horror novel for this gal.  It was a very good attempt at a first story, excellent character description of the sister Knox, and a decent portrait of a Kentucky family.  Maybe because I grew up with brothers it was hard for me to relate to some of the nuances of a sisterly relationship.  Fair read.
