Cuban – The Floridian

Dec 28

Oh, I am in love…with this sandwich from The Floridian.  It is touted as “The Finest Cuban Sandwich on the Planet”…I do love hyperbole; in this case, they may be right!  It was fully loaded with ham, Mojo spiced pork (so good), Genoa salami, Imported Swiss Cheese, Dill pickle, & a mayo/mustard mix.  All of this delicious goodness was then expertly pressed on fresh Cuban bread.  Hands down one of the best pressed sandwiches my mouth has been lucky enough to come in contact with.  The prices were super reasonable; I got a 7” medium combo for around $10  that included a drink and a side…I went for the homemade black beans and yellow rice, which was tasty; I prefer it with onions, not sure if that is an option here.  The restaurant is super small; 5-6 tables and a bar facing Kennedy.  Florida pastels cover the walls and a giant flat screen was showing ESPN….bonus points!  If you love Cubans, you need to put this on your sandwich to do list immediately.
