Buffalo Chicken Sandwich

We ended up at GrillSmith in Tampa on a recent Sunday afternoon. I love the ambience of this place. The bread basket was fresh out of the oven and was instantly devoured.

We kicked off our meal with the Voodoo Cheese Fries. These were so flavorful! Creole-seasoned fries with a New Orleans style white barbeque sauce, smoked gouda, cheddar and swiss cheese, andouille sausage and green onions, served with cilantro sour cream.

The World’s Best Husband opted for the Caribbean Black Bean Burger. Topped with mango salsa, chive mayo, cilantro sour cream and pepper jack cheese on a toasted brioche bun, this was a tasty vegetarian choice. The side of Smashed Cauliflower was yummy.

My selections were perfect. The Buffalo Chicken Sandy was fantastic. A chicken breast cutlet is battered, flash fried and tossed in spicy buffalo sauce, and served on a toasted brioche bun with bleu cheese-ranch dressing, bacon, shredded lettuce and tomato. Jalapeno Mac and Cheese was a spicy cheesy side.

Grillsmith definitely listens to their customers. I had an issue previously at the Carrollwood location, and the manager personally called me and took appropriate steps to rectify the situation. I will absolutely head back for another Buffalo Chicken Sandwich.

  1. My husband likes to consider himself a connoisseur of buffalo chicken wraps. He does enjoy a sandwich every now and then also. I will have to ask him if he has tried Grillsmith’s since he eats there for work often. That black bean burger sounds like something I would love!

It really was a quality sandwich! I think it is only available on their lunch menu. You’ll have to meet your husband over there for a lunch date. :)
