Beef Brisket Sandwich

Beef Brisket Sandwich

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! This magical Christmas season I was lucky enough to attend Christmas Town at Busch Gardens in Tampa thanks to Yelp. I have not spent a lot of time at Busch Gardens, so this night was a real treat for me. Everything was decorated beautifully throughout the park. I loved how the light color scheme changed as we went from place to place.                                                                    .

I was starving, so we zipped through the park and then rode the Skyride to an exotic destination: The Zambia Smokehouse. We went through a cafeteria-style line and placed our order. Thanks to Yelp, our drinks were free. I always opt for a holiday or specialty drink if available. I seriously enjoyed the Sam Adams Winter Lager and the Candy Cane Sprite Delight (Sprite, Mojito mix, and a candy cane.) Festive libations rule!

The Smoked Turkey Breast Wrap came with a pretty tasty cole slaw. All turkey wraps are pretty much created equally, and this one was a solid effort.

I was a little disappointed with the Beef Brisket Sandwich. Brisket is a tough cut of meat, and it is one of those things that has to be done perfectly, or it turns into beef jerky. It was too bad, because it could have been great. The Brisket comes on flat bread with ranch and sauteed onions. Sadly, I could barely gnaw through the meat. Luckily I am now married to the World’s Nicest Husband; he did not laugh as I tried to handle that sandwich. The fries were good!

We sauntered around the rest of the night enjoying the beauty of the season. My favorites were the Christmas tree light show and the Poinsettia Trees. We played some games and also did a little Christmas shopping in the plethora of stores that populate Busch Gardens. We peeked in on Snow World; it was a wee bit crazy for our purposes. My heart was happy when snow would magically start blowing in random places. This was especially fun for my Husband, who has never seen real snow!! I am from Montana, so I know the snow intimately. I like the fake Florida version better. 🙂

Those skills won me three prizes. 🙂

Our night was wonderful. If you are looking for a one of a kind Christmas activity, Christmas Town at Busch Gardens is the place for you and your family.

  1. The turkey wrap looks good! We once had a BBQ dinner from there and it was awful, so we haven’t tried anything there again. We normally hit up Crown Colony or wait until after.

  2. Looks like a great time. I thought about taking the kiddo for the snow – he’s only ever seen about a half inch of the real stuff before. Thanks for sharing

Crystal, we went to the Crown Colony, but it was family style only. Womp womp. Now I know!
I think your child would have a great time, Stacey.
Also, thanks for the comments! I appreciate them!!
